Facility license and permit tracker

The building has its own credentials. CalSafe keeps facility licenses and permits on the same calendar as the people who practice inside it.

Why the date matters

State health licenses, fire and occupancy permits, and specialized-center designations expire on different cycles from clinician licenses. They are easy to leave off a personal calendar. A lapse can mean downtime, not just a letter.

What to keep on file

  • Facility legal name as it appears on the license
  • Issuing authority (state health department, local fire, and similar)
  • Expiration date your team confirmed from the current file
  • Entity and type on the calendar row (license numbers stay on the PDF for review)

How CalSafe holds it

  • Upload the current facility license or permit. Extraction pulls the entity and expiry. A reviewer confirms against the document.
  • Renewals attach to the same facility record so you do not collect years of near-duplicate PDFs as if they were separate licenses.
  • Owners can print coverage without asking operations to rebuild a list the night before a visit.

Questions

Is this only for medical board licenses?

No. Use it for the facility operating license, specialized-center permits, and other site credentials you must keep current to stay open.

What if the license lists more than one site?

Store the document that is in force. Confirm the entity and date as they appear on that file. CalSafe does not split a single license into extra rows for you.

Invite the people who renew. Upload the first license.

Owners, medical directors, and office managers share one facility calendar. CalSafe watches the dates.
